Jimmy’s Wines and Spirits Showcases New Wine Brands

at Exclusive Trade Show Event

Nassau, The Bahamas – Jimmy’s Wines and Spirits, a premier name in Bahamian beverage distribution, recently held an exclusive trade show for wine buyers at the upscale Sapodilla Estate off West Bay Street. This special event introduced attendees to a new lineup of premium wines from Constellation Brands, the world’s largest wine distributor. Guests were treated to a curated tasting experience featuring celebrated labels such as Kim Crawford, Robert Mondavi, and The Prisoner Wine Company, each selected to bring a fresh and sophisticated appeal to the Bahamian market.

The event marked a significant milestone for Jimmy’s Wines and Spirits following its acquisition of the Constellation Brands portfolio in October 2024. “It is our pleasure to announce that Bahamian Brewery & Beverage, along with our retail arm Jimmy’s Wines & Spirits, has acquired one of the most prestigious wine portfolios in the beverage industry,” said Gary Sands, General Manager of Bahamian Brewery. “The timing is impeccable, as the demand for our service and brands has been increasing at an amazing pace. With Constellation Brands now part of our offering, we have catapulted our complement of wines to rival any establishment in The Bahamas.”

Guests at the trade show were introduced to the standout wines of the new portfolio. Highlights included Kim Crawford wines, known for their signature balance of fruit and acidity, crafted from coastal vineyards in New Zealand; the approachable Robert Mondavi Woodbridge collection, beloved for its easygoing Californian charm; and The Prisoner Wine Company, recognized for bold blends with complex flavors of dark fruit, chocolate, and spice.

Adding to the excitement were other globally acclaimed brands such as Meiomi and My Favorite Neighbor, which embody the diversity and excellence of Constellation’s offerings. These wines were handpicked to satisfy the growing demand among local consumers for high-quality, internationally celebrated options.

Attendees praised the event for its exclusive tasting opportunities and the platform it provided for fostering business relationships. “The attendees appreciated the chance to sample wines they had only ever seen in stores or other restaurants,” said Angela Moss, Brand Representative at Jimmy’s Wines and Spirits. “This event was not just about tasting but about creating connections. We provided an opportunity for attendees to experience items we’d like them to carry while offering a space for networking and business-to-business relationship development.”

Looking forward, Jimmy’s Wines and Spirits plans to take an active approach in connecting these premium wines with the Bahamian community. “We are committed to hosting sampling opportunities at various wholesale and restaurant businesses across the islands,” said Moss. “Additionally, we will be organizing Constellation wine dinners and showcases in Eleuthera and Abaco to invite the wider community to engage with and enjoy these world-class wines.”

This acquisition complements the company’s broader portfolio growth, Sands reflected on the company’s trajectory, quoting the renowned French chemist Louis Pasteur: “Chance favors the prepared mind,” adding, “This saying resonates deeply with our team. Through preparation and strategic vision, we’ve positioned ourselves to seize opportunities like this and deliver exceptional products to our customers.”

With its new wine portfolio, Jimmy’s Wines and Spirits is poised to elevate the Bahamian beverage landscape further. “Our goal with this portfolio is to provide our clients with globally celebrated options and create memorable experiences for wine lovers across the islands,” said Sands. “Consumers and clients enjoy the depth and variety of our spirits and beer portfolios, and now, with Constellation Brands, we’re taking our wine offerings to new heights.”

The acquisition of the Constellation Brands portfolio underscores the company’s commitment to delivering an unparalleled experience to Bahamian clients. “The commonality we share with Constellation can be summed up in their own words: ‘The consumer is at the heart of everything we do. Our brands are built from a restless drive to deliver your next, best experience,’” said Sands. “We are indeed proud of the confidence and trust that Constellation has shown in our company. Cheers to The Bahamas and cheers to wine lovers!”
