Nassau, Bahamas – The iconic STAG lager, known for its bold flavour, launched in The Bahamas on Saturday, August 31st. The launch, held at Waterloo on East Bay Street, attracted a lively crowd eager to enjoy a night filled with exceptional drinks and upbeat vibes.
Originating from Trinidad & Tobago and now brewed at Bahamian Brewery and Beverage Co. in Grand Bahama, STAG has become synonymous with strength and camaraderie across the Caribbean. The brand has a strong appeal among sports enthusiasts, uniting fans of all disciplines to celebrate the beauty of any game over a perfectly chilled beer.
Saturday night’s launch featured a mix of influencers, wine and beer lovers and those just looking for a good time, all enjoying a night of great music by DJ Buttonz.
Carielle Monsegue, Market Development Manager at CARIB Brewery in Trinidad & Tobago, shared her excitement about STAG’s expansion into the Bahamian market. “Since its inception in 1972, STAG beer, brewed in Trinidad and Tobago, has been more than just a beverage – it’s a symbol of camaraderie, celebrating life’s victories,” she said. “I commend the exceptional dedication of the Bahamian Brewery team in maintaining STAG’s high quality, and I have the utmost confidence it will quickly become a favourite in The Bahamas, just as it is in Trinidad and Tobago.”
Now available at Jimmy’s Wines and Spirits locations throughout the country, STAG lager offers only 9 carbs, 115 calories and 5.5% alcohol content and has a crisp, robust flavour with little to no aftertaste.
Bahamian Brewery Executive Sales and Marketing Manager, Wellington Seymour, highlighted the success of the launch. “Despite the inclement weather and flooding in Nassau on Saturday, our guests were determined to be at The STAG launch. They told us we exceeded their expectations as they enjoyed the evening to the fullest. The atmosphere was jubilant, reminiscent of the energy one often experiences at a pre-Christmas party. STAG beer is incredibly flavourful; if you are looking for a full-bodied, refreshing beer for any occasion, any season, then STAG is the one. At Bahamian Brewery, we are committed to excellence in quality, taste, and customer satisfaction, and this event delivered on all fronts.”
The launch event brought back the nostalgia of Nassau’s party days, with attendees dancing the night away while enjoying their favourite beverages. Oranique Hamilton, Marketing Manager at Bahamian Brewery, expressed her enthusiasm for the new addition: “We are thrilled to welcome STAG to our catalogue. It’s such an iconic brand, originating in Trinidad as the ‘People’s Beer’. Since then, STAG has evolved into a strong, impactful, and contemporary brand. We are excited to bring that impact to The Bahamas and to celebrate this milestone for Bahamian Brewery.”
