Bahamian Brewery & Beverage Co. Now Official Distributor of Pernod Ricard Products in The Bahamas

The Bahamas – The Bahamian Brewery and Beverage (BBB)Company is proud to announce a new partnership with the world-renowned Pernod Ricard Caribbean and Central America. In a move that will expand the company’s already impressive offering of premium wines and spirits, BBB will, effective immediately, become the agent of record for the company’s efforts in the Bahamas. With a stellar global reputation, Pernod Ricard holds one of two top spots for global wines and spirits productions and sales. 

Now, through BBB, The Bahamas will continue to enjoy access to the company’s most popular brands including Martell Cognac, Jameson Irish Whiskey, Absolut Vodka, and Kahlua Liqueur; as well as premium Champagne brands like Mumm and Perrier-Jouët.

This move will help us farther diversify our portfolio and have a stronger presence in the market in the wine and spirits side of the business,” said BBB General Manager Gary Sands. “Pernod Ricard is one of the largest and most prestigious wine and spirit companies in the world with brands like Absolute Vodka, Jameson Irish Whiskey, Perrier-Jouet Champagne, just to name a few.” 

For more than a decade the products carried by the Bahamian Brewery have fueled celebrations across the archipelago. Through its chain of nine Jimmy’s Wines & Spirits retail locations – which include fully rebuilt and expanded Grand Bahama and Abaco locations,  and a brand new East Bay Street store – the company has made quality wines and spirits easily accessible while simultaneously showcasing six of its homegrown brands, which will resume production in under a month. 

“I am the third generation Sands in the liquor business and I am proud to be bring companies like Pernod Ricard back into Bahamian hands,” noted GM Sands. “My father started this company with 14 employees and a Beer he created called Sands, he had no brand equity besides his name, amazing employees, and a great tasting beer made for Bahamians by Bahamians. Now with this acquisition, we represent the largest beer company in the world AB InBev, largest tobacco company Phillip Morris, and now Pernod Ricard.”

The signing of the new agreement will see Pernod Ricard products become available in all the Jimmy’s Wine & Spirits retail stores, just in time for Valentine’s Day.
